Introduction

As we embrace the first month of 2025, it’s a time for new beginnings, reflection, and setting intentions. One of my key focuses this year is creating more meaningful moments—slowing down, giving back, and making a lasting impact, not only in the lives of others but also in my own. It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle of daily life, but as we move into this new year, I’m reminded that some of the most profound transformations come from intentional acts of service.

In March 2025, I’ll be embarking on a mission trip to Sierra Leone, and I couldn’t be more excited to share this journey with you. Over the coming months, I’ll be sharing my preparations, the impact this trip will have, and how creating small, daily moments of service can deeply enrich our leadership, personal growth, and connections with others.

This blog series isn’t just about my mission to Sierra Leone—it’s about creating a culture of service, reflection, and intentional living. I hope to inspire you to think about how giving back, no matter how big or small, can create lasting change in your own life and in the world around you.

The Ripple Effect of Giving Back

It’s often said that when we give, we receive. And the more I reflect on this idea, the more I realize that giving is about so much more than just contributing to others—it’s about deepening our own understanding of what it means to be connected, to serve, and to make an impact.

This series is not just about the mission I’m embarking on in Sierra Leone. It’s about creating compelling moments in our daily lives where we slow down, reflect, and give back in ways both small and large. These moments shape our leadership, our sense of purpose, and ultimately, the way we show up in the world.

I’ve realized that it’s in these intentional moments of service—whether through time, energy, or resources—that we unlock our highest potential. And so, I want to invite you to reflect with me over the next few months as we dive into this conversation about how giving back transforms our lives, our businesses, and our communities.

Why This Mission Matters to Me

In March 2025, I will be joining a team in Sierra Leone for a mission that will include not only providing much-needed support to the community but also deeply connecting with the people we meet and serve. This mission is the culmination of a commitment I’ve made to myself and to others to embrace service as a cornerstone of my leadership journey.

As a business strategist and coach, I’ve always believed in the power of leadership through service, and the missions I have taken like this one, are representative of that belief. I’m excited to learn, grow, and give back in ways that will make a lasting impact.

How You Can Be Part of This Journey

Over the next few months, I’ll be sharing my experiences with you—from how I’m preparing for this mission to the powerful moments of growth and connection that will unfold along the way. My hope is that by sharing this journey, we can all explore how to create our own moments of service, no matter how big or small, and how those moments can transform not only those we serve but ourselves as well.
